Validate Default Information Using Autocomplete Rules

You can use Autocomplete Rules in the HCM Experience Design Studio to assign default values and validate information entered in fields in the supported mobile-responsive flows according to your requirements.

To enable Autocomplete Rules, you must log a Service Request (SR). Review and follow the instructions provided in the My Oracle Support document, Enabling Oracle HCM Cloud Autocomplete Rules (Document ID 2767655.1) to get access.

Once Autocomplete is enabled for you, you can access all delivered Autocomplete rules and you can create new rules with approval from the Oracle central ACR team. Delivered Autocomplete rules are provided disabled. To use a delivered rule, first create a copy of the delivered rule and then select the Active check box in the rule editor.

The following Autocomplete rule is delivered for the UK:

Rule Name Rule Description Business Object Rule Type Description and Usage
GB Validate Teachers Pension Temporary NI Number Format

Oracle-delivered rule to validate if the format of the TPS Temporary NI Number conforms with Teachers' Pension requirements.

Instructions:

  1. Duplicate the rule. We recommend that you use the rule as is without changing the validation logic in the delivered rule.
  2. Activate the rule
  3. Save and close
Person Legislative Information Field Validation Validates that the format of the entered TPS Temporary NI Number conforms to Teachers’ Pension requirements. Raises a message if the format entered does not match the format defined in the rule.
