Local Transfers for the US

Any employee transfer that occurs within the same legal employer is a local transfer. You use the Local and Global Transfer process to perform these transfers.

For further info, see Local and Global Transfer for the US on the Help Center.

During a local transfer, the process:

  1. Updates the person's primary assignment.

  2. Leaves the work relationship and any other assignments unchanged.

The assignment number and ID remain the same.

Note: Because the legal employer doesn’t change during a local transfer, the person's payroll details remain the same. If you select Payroll Details as part of the transfer, you must select a new legal employer. This changes the transfer type to global.
