Troubleshoot Payroll Process Locking Rules

Here's a list of likely issues when using payroll processes that have Sequence Validations or Interlocked Results and their possible solutions.

Problem Solution
Can't roll back all records in the payroll process. The rollback process doesn't roll back locked records. Messages are raised for records that are locked and can't be rolled back. Navigate to the Messages page to check if the records you can't roll back are locked.
Can't roll back or unlock a process.

Verify the following:

  • Identify the process that is locking the run in a later date and roll back the future-dated process.
  • Identify a process that interlocks your process, for example the subsequent prepayments process interlocks the payroll run process. In that case, you must roll back or mark for retry the prepayments process.
