Configure a Connector Using Third Party Data Integration

Before you configure the connector, you must first create an application on the social networking website. Create a developer account and get the key values required for setting up the connector such as API key, Secret Key.

  1. Navigate to My Client Groups > Personal Brand Administration work area, click Skill Settings.

  2. Click Open Data Integration Tool.
  3. In the Data Connectors page, click Add to configure a connector manually or automatically.

  4. If don't want to configure automatically, specify the connector name and select Configure manually, then click Save. If you want to use the connector as a default discussion board, select Set as default discussion board.

  5. Provide the Open API file details for the social network application. Upload the file in the Import Open API Specification section and click Continue.

  6. Select the API operations to get resources from or post information to the social network application.

  7. Map the data flow between the social network application and HCM in the Create Data Flow section. Review the data flows and mapping once again, if required.

  8. Enter the authentication details such as the API key and Secret key.

  9. Enter the scope URLs to configure the list of authorization permissions for the social network application. This grants you authorization access to the resources of the application.

  10. After you finish, save the configuration, specify the frequency, and schedule the connector run.
