How do I find coworkers using the directory?
Start on the Home page.
Hello, my name is Mike. In in this video, I’ll show you how to find coworkers using the directory, enter a public message, customize and print an org chart, and enter and view feedback.
Click the Directory link.
I recently started a new position, and the Directory has been a big help. I was trying to find my contacts Eric and Aaron on the sales team.
Click the Search field and enter eric ross.
In the Search Results, click Eric Ross.
Click the Back icon.
I couldn’t remember Aaron’s last name, but I knew his first name and what department he was in, so I could just search on that.
Click the Search field.
Click the Advanced Search link.
Click Show Filters.
Click the Department field and enter Sales West US.
In the Search Results, click Sales West US (Supremo).
In the Name field, enter aaron.
In the Search Results, scroll down and highlight Aaron Moore.
Click the Back icon.
I’m trying to get to know my team, so I want to print my org chart for quick reference.
Click My Organization Chart.
Click the Mitch Blum link.
Click Print.
I can select the number of levels I want. I can print in a graphic format, or I can choose a navigable PDF that includes live links to everyone listed the format.
In the Levels to Display field select 2.
In the File Format field select SVG, if not already selected.
I can pick the specific information I want to include, how I want them grouped, and the orientation.
In the Fields to Display field select Photo.
Before I print it, I can look at a preview.
In the Group Last Level field select Group Last Level, if not already selected.
Click Preview.
In the Orientation section, click to select Vertical.
Click the Back icon.
Click the Back icon.
I can also use the filters to see my manager’s extended organization, including the various managers, dotted line reports, and contingent workers.
Click the Show Filters link.
In the Manager Type section, click to select Line Manager, Project Manager, Regional Manager, Mentor/Mentee Relationship, and Resource Manager.
In the Worker Type section, click to select Contingent Worker and Employee.
Scroll down and highlight the dotted-line report Kristine Doyle and the contingent worker James Gardner.
Now I want to take a look at my Public Info page.
Click the Curtis Feitty link.
I’ve added my Contact Info and some information about myself, but I haven’t added a public message yet. The public message is very useful. I can put an out of office message here, but I can also add things like when I’m in the office and alternate contact info, and I don’t have to have an end date, so the message persists as long as needed.
In the Public Message section, click Add.
In the Start Date field, click the Calendar icon, select today, and click OK.
In the Notification field, enter In the office M/W/F, working from home T/Th. If you need immediate assistance and you’re unable to reach me please contact my admin, Zak Taylor.
I can also add links to any internal or external web page. That way if there’s information that people are frequently asking me about, they can use these links and don’t even need to contact me.
Scroll down and highlight Favorite Links.
Representatives are based on areas of responsibility, and companies have the ability to set up all types of different representatives. I’ve been using this to get the contact info for my Benefits rep, Gloria. Gloria has been extremely helpful and patient as I’ve been settling in, and I’d like to give her some positive feedback.
Click the Gloria Daas link.
In the Actions field select Provide Feedback.
I like giving public feedback as a way to celebrate my coworkers.
Click Add.
In the Who can see my feedback field select Everyone.
In the What do you want to say? field, enter Gloria has been amazing and endlessly patient, thanks so much!
Click Save.
Click the Back icon.
I can also take a look at the feedback that’s been given to me.
Click My Public Info.
I can view my feedback from specific people, and from specific time periods. I can also decide whether or not I want to hide someone’s feedback.
In the Action field select Feedback.
Click the Authors drop-down list.
Click to close the Authors drop-down list.
Click the Time period drop-down list.
Click to close the Time period drop-down list.
