How do I add analyses to the Talent Review dashboard?

Title and music.

In this video, you’ll learn how to add an OTBI analysis that is accessible from the Talent Review dashboard. The analysis you add helps to keep relevant information about employees readily available during the talent review meeting.

To do so, you need to follow three steps:

First, you need to create an analysis that you would like to access during a talent review meeting.

Next, activate a sandbox that has Page Composer included and then conduct the talent review meeting.

Finally, use Page Composer to edit the Analytics page of the Talent Review Meeting to add the analysis.

Do note that the facilitator needs to have access to an employee's data in order to view their data in the analysis.

Now let's begin with creating an analysis that shows the ratings from prior review meetings. To do so, navigate to the Reports and Analytics work area.

Click the Navigator menu icon.

Expand the Tools section.

Select Reports and Analytics.

Then, click the Browse Catalog button to access OTBI.

Start creating the analysis.

From the Catalog page, click the Create menu.

Select Analysis.

In the Select Subject Area window, select the task that contains Talent Review Meeting.

In the Subject Areas pane, expand the folder, and add the columns you want for the analysis.

The analysis you add to the dashboard must contain a filter.

Set the Operator Set to Is Prompted on any of these parameters: Person ID, Assignment ID, and Meeting ID.

In this example, we’ll select Person ID and go back to the Criteria page.

In the Filters section, you’ll see the filter added.

Enter a title for your analysis.

You can go to the Results tab to view the details of the analysis you created.

Now let’s go to step 2: Ensure you’re on an active sandbox with Page Composer included.

From the Home page, click the My Client Groups tab.

Select Talent Review.

On the Talent Review Meetings page, find the row of the meeting for which you want to add the analysis.

Click the Actions menu.

Select Conduct Meeting.

Since you're adding an analysis with Person ID filter, you must select at least one person marker in the box chart of the talent review meeting dashboard.

Then, click the Actions menu and select View Analytics to open the Analytics page.

Next, as part of step 3, in the sandboxes Tools menu, select Page Composer to edit the Analytics page of the Talent Review Meeting.

Click the Add Content button and follow the required path to add the analysis in the Add Content dialog box.

In the Reports and Analytics row, click Open and continue to follow the file path until you locate the relevant analysis.

In the row for the analysis, click Add.

The analysis will display the results based on the employee you selected.

To enable contextual parameter for the embedded analysis, click Parameters.

In the Value 1 field, type the relevant expression according to the filter added for the analysis, in this case Person ID.

Click Save.

The table provides the corresponding expressions you can type according to the filter you’ve added.

Now, click Close to stop editing the page.

From the Sandbox toolbar, click the sandbox name and click Publish to make your changes available.

From the Talent Review dashboard, you can now select one employee or multiple employees to view the results of the analysis.
