How do I analyze journey errors?
Title and music.
In this video, you’ll learn how to analyze and collect diagnostic data for journey errors. To do so, you can access this Data Collection for HCM Checklists Issues document on My Oracle Support and follow the recommended steps.
Review the SRDC - Data Collection for HCM Checklists Issues (Doc ID 2081769.1).
The first step involves adding step by step screen shots of the journey issue into a document. In the second step, you run the HCM Checklist Error Analysis Report to analyze any issues for the journey. Finally, you export the journey template.
Now let’s look at an onboarding journey for an employee in the Assigned Journeys tab.
From the Home page, click Me.
Click Journeys.
As part of step 2, we’ll use this sample assigned journey to run the HCM Checklist Error Analysis Report. To run the report, navigate to the Diagnostic Dashboard and search for the HCM Checklist Error Analysis Report.
Click Home.
From the Settings and Actions menu, select Run Diagnostic Tests.
In the Test Name field, enter HCM checklist error analysis.
Click Search.
Select the report that appears and Add to Run.
Select the HCM Checklist Error Analysis check box.
Click Add to Run.
The report appears in the Run Tests section. Enter the parameters for the report. We’ll now enter the values for the Onboarding journey you saw earlier in the Assigned Journeys section. Ensure there are no blank spaces when entering the parameters to avoid any errors when running the report. Click OK to proceed.
In the Run Tests section, in the HCM Checklist Error Analysis row, in the Input Status column, click the green check mark icon.
On the Input Parameters page, select the Checklist Category check box.
In the Checklist Category row, in the New Value field, enter ONBOARD.
Select the Checklist Name check box.
In the Checklist Name row, in the New Value field, enter SG_CHECKLIST_02.
Select the Person Number check box.
In the Person Number row, in the New Value field, enter 985624.
Click OK.
In the Run Tests section, enter a relevant name, such as the person number for whom you’re running the report, and then run the report.
In the Run Tests section, in the Run Name field, enter Error Report for 985624.
Click Run.
You get a message that the test run is submitted.
Click OK at the message.
In the Run Status section, refresh the data so that the error report appears. Expand to see if it’s completed successfully in the second row. Next, view the test results. The error report for your journey opens. Scroll down and check the details, such as profile options and journey tasks. Save this report in a location on your computer.
In the Run Status section, click the Refresh icon.
Expand the HCM Checklist Error Analysis row.
In the Report column, click the View Test Results icon.
Now let’s go to step 3 of exporting the journey template. To do so, navigate to the Checklist Templates task in the Employment section.
Click Home.
Click My Client Groups.
Under Quick Actions, select Show More.
In the Employment section, click Checklist Templates.
Search for and select your journey. From the Actions icon, select Export.
In the Search field, enter SG_CHECKLIST_02.
Click Search.
From the Actions menu, select Export.
Save the journey template in the same location that you saved the error report. You can save it with the person number in case you have multiple reports.
You can now upload the step-by-step screenshot document, the HCM checklist error analysis report, and the downloaded journey template to the service request.
