How You Enable Download of Activities

To help salesperson perform his store visit tasks efficiently, the administrator must complete the configuration. This topic explains the steps to view the activities in consumer goods mobile.

To view the activities on the mobile application, perform the following steps in sequence on the consumer goods web application:

  1. Set Up Distribution Center and Routes

  2. Create Appointments

  3. Run Scheduler jobs

Set Up Distribution Center and Routes

The following steps must be performed in the consumer goods web application. For more information about performing the given steps, see the Managing Distribution Centers and Routes.

  1. Create Distribution Center and assign a resource to it.

  2. Associate an existing route to a distribution center or create a new route.

  3. Allocate resource to the route associated with the distribution center.

Once you complete the required configuration on the web Application, ensure you download the route and accept in consumer goods mobile.

  • If route auto-download is enabled, the route is automatically downloaded and accepted on the mobile application. See Set Up Route Auto-download and Auto-accept: Points to Consider

  • If route auto-download is disabled, then you must download and accept the route. See Download Routes in the Using Consumer Goods Mobile guide.

Create Appointments

During appointment creation, the sales administrator must enter values for the following fields to view the activities in the mobile application. First, navigate to Activities > Create Appointment and specify the values. For more information about creating appointments, see the Manage Appointments section.

Store Visit Type

The store visit type associated with the appointment.

Route

The route that the appointment has been assigned to.

Account

The account associated with the appointment.

Run Scheduler Jobs

The following scheduler jobs must be run in the consumer goods web application:

  • Prepare Consumer Goods Route Download Document

  • Generate Consumer Goods Shopping Cart Templates

  • Prepare Consumer Goods Appointment Download Document
