Create a Connection to Oracle Fusion
To connect Intelligent Advisor to Oracle Fusion, a Connections administrator needs to create a connection in Intelligent Advisor Hub. A single Intelligent Advisor Hub can have multiple connections to different Oracle Fusion instances, however, only one connection can use a particular Oracle Fusion instance.
To create a connection to Oracle Fusion:
- In Intelligent Advisor Hub, navigate to the Connections Page.
- Click Create. The New connection page opens.
- In the CONNECTION SETTINGS section, specify the following settings:
- Name: a name for the connection (for example, the name of the environment you are connecting to)
- Type: Oracle Fusion (Service, Sales, HR Help Desk)
- Workspace access: select the check boxes for the workspaces that you want to have access to the connection
-
In the ORACLE FUSION DETAILS section, specify the following settings:
- Fusion environment hostname: the base URL of the Oracle Fusion site
- Fusion metadata username: Oracle Fusion username
- Fusion metadata password: Oracle Fusion password for that user
- URL parameter for OAuth token: select jwt.
-
If using a Hub that has Oracle Identity Domain configured as its identity provider:
-
Select Create a new local API client, or
-
Select Use an existing OCI IAM Client. Then specify the following settings:
-
OCI IAM client ID: Enter the client ID for the confidential application
-
OCI IAM client secret: Enter the client secret for the confidential application
-
If using a Hub that does not have Oracle Identity Domain configured as its identity provider, you will not see these options (a local API client will be automatically created).
-
- Click Apply. A Sign In to Oracle Fusion dialog should pop up. (If not, your browser may be blocking pop-ups for your site. You will need to configure your browser to enable pop-up windows for your Oracle Fusion site. Once you have done this, you should re-click Apply.)
- In the Sign In to Oracle Fusion dialog, log in as a user with permissions to write to topology manager in Oracle Fusion. (Otherwise you will get a "Accessing topology manager was forbidden" message.) On the connection page, the status of the connection is updated.

Next steps:
-
If the connector version is not the latest version, you can change it to use the latest version using the Version drop-down. (Note that the Version drop-down is not shown until the connection is Online.)
-
If the interview will be embedded in an agent interface, you also need to allow a cross origin request from the servers hosting the application that the interview is being embedded in. For more information, see Configure Browser Access for Embedded Interviews.
-
If you want decision service authors to be able to work with lists of values in their connected application, you can add or edit named record lists. Tip: A default set of named record lists (SR Severity, SR Status Type, SR Status, YesNo) is created when you create a Fusion connection.

Assign topology manager access role to a user in Oracle Fusion
The topology manager access role for the user can be added from Security Console in Oracle Fusion.
Note: To do this you must have privileges sufficient to edit users, such as IT Security Manager.
- In Oracle Fusion, click Navigator, and under Tools select Security Console.
- Click Users.
- In the search box, search for and select the required user. This is the user used to sign in to Oracle Fusion from Intelligent Advisor Hub.
- On the Account details page, click Edit.
- Click Add Role.
- In the search box, search for and select the role ORA_ZUP_CONNECTOR_ADMINISTRATOR_JOB.
- Click Add Role Membership.
- Click Done.
- On the Account details page, review the details, and then click Save and Close. In some environments there may be a 10 minute delay before the change is available in the Hub connection.
