Email styles

Transactional emails are optional emails sent by CrowdTwist upon the completion of certain events.

Emails can be configured to be sent upon the completion of the following events:

  • Account Verification – Ensures the owner of the email address intended to create a loyalty account (only triggered if CrowdTwist hosts registration).
  • Email Change – Ensures the owner of the email address intended to create a loyalty account (only triggered if CrowdTwist hosts registration).
  • Forgot Login – Assist customers in logging into program by sending them a username reminder and password reset link (only triggered if CrowdTwist hosts registration).
  • Tier Level Up – Informs members that they have advanced to a new tier.
  • Standard Reward Redemption – Informs members that points have been redeemed from their account balance for a standard reward.
  • Sweepstakes Entry Confirmation – Informs members that they have entered into a sweepstakes and will receive a follow-up email if they are the winner.
  • Sweepstakes Winner Confirmation – Informs members that they were selected as a winner for the sweepstakes they entered through the program.
  • Sweepstakes Non-Winner Confirmation – Informs members that they were not selected as a winner for the sweepstakes they entered through the program.
  • Reward Unlock – Informs members that they are eligible to redeem points for a reward that was previously unavailable to them.
  • Facebook Token Refresh – Informs members that their Facebook token is about to expire and their accounts will no longer be connected to Facebook.
  • Facebook Token Expired – Informs members that their Facebook token expired and their accounts are no longer connected to Facebook.
  • Points Expiration Series (set of 2 emails: points expiration refresh and points expired) – Informs members their points are about the expire if action is not taken.
  • Invite Friend Registration Accepted – Informs members the friend they sent a referral URL link to joined the loyalty program.
  • Tier Expiration Series (set of 3 emails) – Informs members their tier is about the expire if action is not taken.
    • Tier Expire - Informs members after their tier has expired
    • Tier Warning - This email deploys 30 days before the member’s tier has expired.
    • Tier Maintain - This email deploys after a member has successfully maintained their tier.

Customizing an email template

Transactional emails sent from the CrowdTwist platform display the branded email header of your program.

The following elements are customizable in CrowdTwist’s email template:

  • Email Body (3000 character limit): Copy for the body of the email.
  • Email Header (641x129 pixels): You must provide a header (in GIF format) for the email header that also displays your logo.
  • Footer (641x129 pixels): Footer content includes address and link to privacy policy. If desired, can also link to your email preferences page. For example:
    • Your corporate address
    • Hyperlink to your privacy policy
    • Unsubscribe link (only unsubscribes to CrowdTwist-supported marketing emails)
