Applying phone number validation to phone fields
Important: This feature is only available if your organization has purchased SMS services. Please contact your account manager for additional information and pricing.
To prevent invalid numbers from being saved in your database, you can choose to apply phone number validation to the contact fields Business Phone and Mobile Phone.

- Customers are responsible for maintaining valid phone numbers. Learn more about valid phone numbers.
To apply phone number validation:
- Click Settings
. -
Click Fields & Views in the Database Setup area.
- Search for the Business Phone field or the Mobile Phone contact field. In the Redwood experience, select the field. Click the actions menu
and then click Edit. - To turn on phone number validation, select the Contact Field contains a valid phone number checkbox.
- Save your changes.
Note: This checkbox is only visible if Textbox is selected for Field Type.
