Tracking revenue values on a page
You can attach a value to a page view action. When a page view action is triggered, value tracking lets you visually select and record revenue amounts on the page.
For example, you can measure revenue on the confirmation page, which can then be used to measure the success of each variant. Track the number of visitors who reach the confirmation page with a page view action. Then use the value tracking tool to visually select the total amount from the confirmation page.
To track values on the page:
- On the Actions tab, select a page view action.
- In the Track Value section, use the capture button and select the revenue amount from your page.
- The revenue from your page is shown as a preview.
Preview and currency symbol
- After selecting a value from the page, you will see a preview of this amount to correctly check its tracking.
- If you see Invalid Value inside the preview, then you may have selected an object that cannot be tracked, such as a text field.
- You can also select a currency from the list to be used in revenue reporting.
