Adding blocks to your message
You can add blocks to a message from within the visual editor or the source editor. For the source editor, adding a block replaces the content of the <div> or <td> tag that you drag it to.
When a block is added to a message, the block content is copied to the message and can then be edited in the message itself. With blocks you can:
- Create consistent email headers and footers that can be added to messages.
- Create consistent CTA buttons or other common elements for your messages.
- Copy entire message bodies to other messages.
To add a block to a message:
- Click
from any page in Responsys Express. - Click Messages.
- Create a new message, or open an existing one.
- Open the Blocks
tab. - Search for a block by either browsing the ones that display or by using the search bar to find a specific block.
- Use
beside the block name and drag it onto the message.
Note: When trying to add blocks to your message in the source editor, only blocks that were created in the source editor, and not in the visual editor, are displayed. Similarly, while in the visual editor, you can only view blocks that were created in the visual editor.
