Classic Campaigns - Creating a Link Table

Important: Effective June 2024, Responsys will not support Classic Campaign functionality. After the effective date, Campaign Designer will be the only Responsys tool for creating and sending targeted and personalized campaigns. Learn more about the Campaign Designer.

When setting up link tracking in a Classic Campaign, you can choose to create a new link table.

Use this method to build a link table from one or more existing HTML and plain-text documents. The link table is populated with the URLs and corresponding text descriptions that make up the hypertext links found in the documents.

You may have an existing document that describes several products, services, or other offers and includes links to each. Such documents are an excellent source for this feature.

Choose one or more documents with hypertext links (text or images you can click to view a web page) or URLs.

HTML documents may contain links like <A HREF="http://yourco.com/bigsale.asp"> and <IMG SRC="http://brickstone.com/images/jacket.gif">. Text documents don't have hypertext links but may contain URLs like http://example.com/catalogs/spring.htm.

After you click Next, you can select which of the links to include in your new link table.

Tip: To modify the schema of the data source later, click next to its name in the Folders list, and choose Change Schema from the pop-up menu.

When creating custom link names for Facebook or Twitter, be aware that the following names are reserved by Oracle Responsys and cannot be used:
