Notifications

Account administrator can control the email notification messages that OpenAir sends automatically to inform users about certain record events.

The Custom Email Notifications optional feature lets account administrators configure when and to whom OpenAir sends email notification messages, as well as the message content. Custom email notifications let you set up separate notification email for a supported record type and event combination. You can set up OpenAir to send notification email every time the event occurs for a record of that type, or when the event occurs and the record meets specified conditions.

For example, you can set up notifications to inform users when a transaction is submitted and awaiting the user's approval, when a transaction is approved or rejected, or when a transaction is submitted or approved by proxy. You can also set up notifications to inform users when a booking is created, modified, or deleted and meet criteria such as a specific booking type or Customer: Project, or when the project stage is set to a certain value on a new or existing project.

The Custom Email Notifications optional feature is often enabled for new OpenAir accounts as it offers more control and flexibility for email notifications.

You should enable the Custom Email Notifications feature and disable standard email notifications and email templates, if you are still using the latter on your account.

When the Custom Email Notifications optional feature is not enabled, OpenAir sends standard email notifications when transactions are submitted or approved. OpenAir also sends email notifications for other record events. Account administrators can:
