Deleted Attachment Recovery

You can recover deleted files, including receipt photos, résumés or CVs, or other attachments, to a specified workspace or to their original location, or download the files to your PC.

Note:

Records deleted 180 days or more ago are not generally available for recovery. Record retention periods may change in the future. For more information about deleted record retention, see Data Deletion.

Recovered files count against your account’s file storage limit.

To recover a deleted file to its original location:

  1. Go to Administration > Global Settings > Account and click Restore deleted document/folders.

    Note:

    The original location must still exist to recover a deleted file to it. You cannot recover a deleted file to a deleted record.

  2. In the Run an Action column, select the checkbox next to the file or files you want to recover.

  3. In the Run an Action dropdown list, select Restore files to original records.

  4. A dialog appears showing the status of the recovered files. Click the Click here link to close the window and refresh the list of deleted files.

To recover a deleted file to a workspace:

  1. Go to Administration > Global Settings > Account and click Restore deleted document/folders.

  2. In the Run an Action column, select the checkbox next to the file or files you want to recover.

  3. In the Run an Action dropdown list, select Restore deleted files.

    Alternatively, you can click the Undelete button in the Commands column.

  4. In the Actions dialog, select a Workspace to recover the deleted files to and click OK.

  5. A dialog appears showing the status of the recovered files. Click the Click here link to close the window and refresh the list of deleted files.

To download a deleted file to your PC:

  1. Go to Administration > Global Settings > Account and click Restore deleted document/folders.

  2. In the Run an Action column, select the checkbox next to the file or files you want to recover.

  3. In the Run an Action dropdown list, select Download.

    Alternatively, you can click the Download button in the Commands column.

  4. Select a location to save the file to and save the file.
