Configure Ask Oracle approvals

Use Menu > Administration > QuickStart settings > General > Ask Oracle approvals to choose when Ask Oracle must request approval before viewing or changing business information. The selected company-wide mode is saved when you choose it, and existing permissions and access controls continue to apply.

Before you begin

• The Ask Oracle and Ask Oracle approvals features must be enabled for the account.
• You need permission to update company preferences. Without update permission, you can review the setting but cannot change it.

Choose an approval mode

1. Open Menu > Administration > QuickStart settings.
2. Select General.
3. In Categories, select Ask Oracle approvals.

4. Review What each mode allows:

   • Cautious allows product assistance. Ask Oracle requests approval before viewing business information, creating or editing business information, performing protected actions, or performing irreversible actions.
   • Standard allows product assistance and viewing business information. Ask Oracle requests approval before creating or editing business information, performing protected actions, or performing irreversible actions.
   • Automated allows product assistance, viewing business information, and creating or editing business information. Ask Oracle still requests approval before protected or irreversible actions.
5. In Ask Oracle approval mode, select Cautious, Standard, or Automated.

QuickStart saves the selected mode immediately. The action categories and their approval decisions are fixed in this version and cannot be customized individually.
