Copy a bank deposit

Copy an existing bank deposit when you need to create another deposit with similar Other funds lines. Open Menu, select Banking, and then select Cash management.

Review the copied details carefully to avoid creating a duplicate deposit. Transactions selected from Undeposited Funds are not copied.

Copy the bank deposit

  1. Open Menu, select Banking, and then select Cash management.
  2. Select Bank deposits.
  3. Open the row actions for the deposit and select Make copy. You can also open the deposit, select More actions, and then select Make copy.
  4. Review the bank account, current deposit date, memo, and copied Other funds lines. Update any details that should differ from the original deposit and make sure that every copied line uses an active account.
  5. Review the deposit total. Transactions selected from Undeposited Funds in the original deposit are not included in the copy, so select funds if they must be included in the new deposit.
  6. Select Submit.

QuickStart creates a bank deposit with a new document number. The date defaults to the current date, and QuickStart determines the posting period from that date.

You cannot copy a deposit that references data that is no longer valid, such as an inactive account.
