Passwordless sign-in
Passwordless sign-in uses a passkey instead of a password. A passkey uses security provided by your device or security key, such as a fingerprint, face recognition, device PIN, or touch on a security key.
Passkeys can provide these benefits:
- You do not need to enter or regularly change a password when you sign in with the passkey.
- The passkey is tied to the QuickStart sign-in site and is resistant to password phishing.
- Your private passkey information stays protected by your device or security key.
- You can keep a password or another authentication method as an alternative.
After you configure a passkey, you can delete your password if another authentication method remains available. QuickStart does not allow you to remove your last authentication method.
