Note:

The following features must be enabled to use the resource center: Require Booking Type when Booking Resources, Inline-Editing in Lists, and Resource Center.

You must have the “View Resource Center” role permission to access the resource center.

Contact your account administrators to check whether this feature is enabled in your company's account and to check your role permissions.

The Resource Center feature aims to give resource managers a resource allocation, scheduling, monitoring and tracking tool all on a single page in one place. It shares much of its functionality with the existing Project Center feature, used by project managers to plan, staff and monitor a single project, but with the broader, organizational-level perspective, to optimize resource utilization and balance demands across a portfolio of competing projects.

The Resource Center lets you:

To access the resource center, go to Resources > Resource Center.

The resource center includes the following components:

1

Toolbar — The toolbar includes some of the options available for lists throughout SuiteProjects Pro as well as functionality specific to the resource center view such as the ability to change the booking grid granularity, and to save your changes. See Resource Center Toolbar.

2

Resource and booking information — The left side of the canvas shows resource, project, and booking information.

You can personalize the resource center page by selecting information columns, using advanced filters, controlling column widths and the divider position between resource list and booking grid.

3

Booking grid — The booking grid on the right side of the canvas shows a forward-looking summary of hours booked for each resource. Depending on the selected granularity, the booking grid shows a week-by week or month-by-month schedule. Each column corresponds to a week or month and the column header shows the first day of the week or month.
