Entering Acquirer or Orderer Information in Import Bills for Brazil

If you're importing goods on behalf or by order of another company, in your import bills, enter the information about the company that hired you.

To enter acquirer or orderer information in an import bill for Brazil:

1. In the import bill you're creating, under Classification, in the Acquirer or Orderer Federal Tax Registration field, enter the Cadastro Nacional de Pessoas Jurídicas (CNPJ) number of the company that hired you.

   The CNPJ is Brazil's federal tax registration number for legal entities. Use one of the following formats for the 14-digit number: 00000000000000 or 00.000.000/0000-00.

2. In the State of the Acquirer or Orderer field, enter the acronym of the state where the acquirer or orderer is located.

3. Continue entering other information in the transaction.
