Making Final Adjustments With Income Statement Adj

You can use the Income Statement Adj (adjustments) form to make final adjustments to the income statement, as required, by Department, Class, and Account. You can also add commentary about any adjustments in the Commentary column.

Note:

The adjustments you make in the Income Statement Adj form do not automatically update to the affiliated Revenue or OpEx forms.

To make final adjustments to the income statement:

  1. From the Home page, go to Financials > Income Statement.

  2. Click Income Statement Adj.

  3. In the Point of View, select a Version, Subsidiary, Currency, Department, and Class.

    Note:

    You enter adjustments at detail level, so you must select a Department and Class member.

  4. To apply the changes, click the Go icon Screenshot of the Go icon.

  5. Locate the Account you want to adjust and enter the adjustment value in the Adj row.

  6. (Optional) In the Commentary column, click a cell (data area) and enter the reason for the adjustment.

  7. Click Save.

  8. If you made adjustments to revenue accounts, then you need to manually update the cost of goods sold (COGS) accounts.

  9. To populate the Income Statement with the adjusted data in the input currency, right-click the data grid and select Aggregate to Income Statement.

  10. (Optional) To have your changes reflected in the relevant financial statements in the input and reporting currencies:

    1. Go to the Home page and click the Rules card.

    2. Beside the ruleset NFS_All Accts Forecast Data Refresh, click the Launch arrow.
