Inventory Optimization Results Dataset

The Inventory Optimization Results Dataset displays stored optimization results and derived planning metrics for each item-location combination. The Inventory Optimization Results Workbook uses this dataset as its source.

Dataset Configuration

The Inventory Optimization Results Dataset is based on the Inventory Optimization Result record. The dataset joins to Item, Location, Item Location Configuration, and Inventory Optimization Segment.

To customize the standard dataset, use Save As to create your own version. For more information, see Defining a Dataset.

Consider the following information before you use or customize the dataset:

• Before you use this dataset, enable Advanced Inventory Management and Inventory Optimization on the Enable Features page. To segment inventory by item-location, also enable Advanced Item Location Configuration. For instructions, see Enabling Inventory Optimization.

• The results reflect completed inventory level calculations. Changed inputs appear only after a scheduled or manual calculation successfully processes the item-location.

• The demand analysis dates show the period used for demand calculations. The supply analysis dates show the period used for lead-time calculations. Changing the Supply Analysis Interval preference doesn't change dates on previously created results.

• Your role needs the SuiteAnalytics Workbook permission at the Edit level and the Inventory Optimization permission at the View level or higher. By default, the standard dataset is shared with all users. Only administrators can change its permissions. Users can only see records and rows available to their roles.

• The standard dataset shows Inventory Optimization Result records whose Inactive field is false. Inventory optimization processing writes the stored values.

• The dataset includes three derived service-level comparison formulas. These formulas use stored values from the result record.

• Numeric zero is a valid result. A blank value indicates that required source data, an input, or a calculation result isn't available.

• The standard dataset doesn't include current item-location quantity fields.

• SuiteAnalytics doesn't recalculate stored planning values.
