Configuring FSM Mobile Number Elements

In Field Service Management (FSM) Mobile, number is the base element type for numeric values. Types such as integer, percent, and currency are aliases that resolve to number. Use number element properties to configure whole numbers, decimal measurements, currency, percentages, data sizes, and other measurements.

Usage pattern	Recommended configuration	Result
Whole numbers	Set `precision` to `0` and `step` to `1`. To show increment and decrement controls, set `stepper` to `true`. Set `min` and `max` when the permitted range is known.	Limits entry and display to whole numbers.
Decimal measurements	Set `precision` to the required number of decimal places and `step` to the permitted increment, such as `0.25`.	Supports decimal entry and enforces the increment.
Currency	Set `unit` to a configured currency unit identifier, such as `usd`. Use the unit definition to specify the prefix or suffix and precision, commonly `2`. Set a matching `step`, commonly `0.01`.	Formats the value using the unit definition, for example a `$` prefix and two decimal places.
Percentage	Set `unit` to a configured percentage unit identifier, such as `percent`. Set `precision` to the required number of decimal places and `step` to the permitted increment.	Adds the configured percentage suffix. FSM Mobile formats the stored number directly without automatically converting a fraction such as `0.8554` to `85.54%`.
Data size	Set `unit` to a configured unit identifier, such as `byte`. In the unit definition, set `multiple` to `1024`, `suffix` to `"B"`, and `precision` to `0`.	Read-only rendering scales values through K, M, and G prefixes as appropriate.
Other measurements	Set `unit` to another configured unit identifier, such as a temperature unit, and define its suffix, prefix, and precision.	Applies the configured formatting. The stored value remains a number.
