Exporting Spain VAT Report Files in a TXT Format

Note:

To access the Spain Localization SuiteApp documentation in Spanish of Spain (español de España), see Spain Localization.

After you generate your report, you can export it in a TXT file format. Exporting your report is necessary for its further submission to the Spanish Tax Administration Agency.

To export your Spain VAT report file:

  1. Go to Report > Spain Reports > Country Tax Reports.

  2. On the Report Execution Log subtab, locate the report that you want to export. The Report Execution Log displays a list of all generated reports in descending order of date and time when the reports were run. You may use the row list filter to view older reports.

You can export the following report types in the TXT file format:

    • Modelo 303

    • Modelo 349

    • Modelo 390

  3. In the View column, click View to open the preview of your report.

  4. Click on the Export – TXT icon in the upper left corner of the report preview, if you want to export your generated Spain VAT report in a TXT file.

    Note:

The availability of export options is based on the tax agency’s requirement for online tax filing of the report. All supported reports are currently generated in a TXT format, which is also required for the file upload on the Spanish Tax Administration Agency online portal. When you upload the generated TXT file to this portal, you may see a simplified version of the VAT report where some of the boxes are not displayed.

    Note:

All TXT report files show numeric values with up to two decimal places.

Because the exported files are only intended for machine reading, they are not prepared to be read and interpreted by NetSuite users. For information about the content of these files, see Modelo 303 – What Goes into Each Box, Modelo 349 – What Goes into Each Box, and Modelo 390 – What Goes into Each Box.

These sections provide you with detailed descriptions of all supported report boxes, and explain where data in these boxes comes from.
