Planning and Budgeting Sync Release Notes

This help topic summarizes the recent changes to the Planning and Budgeting Sync SuiteApp. Here you may also find instructions on how to troubleshoot your issues, or what actions to take to ensure the integration works for you.

This release enhances account type mapping in your installed Planning and Budgeting Sync SuiteApp. Now, you can add an account number along with the account type to map NetSuite accounts to specific account members in Planning and Budgeting.

To include an account number in your mapping, use the new Source Account Number field. For information, see Account Type Mapping in Planning and Budgeting Sync.

This release resolves an installation issue for Planning and Budgeting Sync 26.1.0 in accounts outside the U.S.

This release of the Planning and Budgeting Sync SuiteApp introduces the following new features and enhancements:

• You can check the Use Entered URL to Verify Inbound Connections box to verify that the correct Planning and Budgeting application connects to NetSuite. See step 4 in Setting Up the Connection to Planning and Budgeting.

• You no longer need to manually add the customsearch_nspb_ prefix for saved searches and the custdataset_nspb_ prefix for datasets to the allowlist in NetSuite EPM Connector. The SuiteApp now adds these prefixes automatically when you create default saved searches and datasets. See Data Source Allowlist.

• You can use NSPB SuitePeople - Saved Searches to load data and metadata from NetSuite into your Planning and Budgeting. These saved searches were previously included in the NSPB-SuitePeople Sync SuiteApp. See NSPB SuitePeople - Saved Searches.

• You can view NetSuite SuitePeople payroll data loaded into your Planning and Budgeting, grouped and summed by workforce categories. See Viewing NetSuite SuitePeople Payroll Data by Category.

• Data Load Rule jobs are now called Data Integration jobs.

• Options for Relative period selection in Data Integration jobs, Group jobs, and Pipeline jobs are renamed from 'month' to 'period'. The following has changed:

  • This Month changes to This Period

  • Last Month changes to Last Period

  • Period Before Last is now available

This release of the Planning and Budgeting Sync SuiteApp introduces the following new features and enhancements:

• You can write SuiteQL queries to load transaction data and metadata from NetSuite to your Planning and Budgeting.

• You can schedule and run pipeline jobs from NetSuite.

  See Pipeline in Planning and Budgeting Sync.

• For Planning and Budgeting Financials, the following has changed:

  • The default batch jobs have been replaced by pipeline jobs that provide the same functionality. See Setting Up Default Configurations for Planning and Budgeting Financials.

  • The integration artifacts have been updated to reflect this change.

    Important:

    You need to download the updated ZIP file from NetSuite and re-upload it into your Planning and Budgeting Financials. See Downloading Planning and Budgeting Financials Integration Artifacts.

• You can use the Plug-in Code Generator to create custom plug-in scripts for importing budget data from Planning and Budgeting.

• You can choose filters that you want to hide in Data Exchange for saved searches and datasets. See the following help topics:

• Based on the available features in the NetSuite account you log in to, the NSEPM Implementer and NSPB Integration roles are automatically pre-populated with the required permissions during the SuiteApp installation.

• The NetSuite Planning and Budgeting SuiteSuccess Standard and Premium saved searches can be used on NetSuite accounts without the OneWorld feature. For the list of the saved searches, see Saved Searches for Planning and Budgeting Sync.
