NSPOS 2025.1.5 Hot Push Notes

This document lists the updates provided in NetSuite Point of Sale (NSPOS) version 2025.1.5. The fixes listed here are not available to NSPOS customers until this hot push has been deployed to their environment. NetSuite will modify these notes when needed to provide customers with additional information.

No action is required for the server-side portion of this hot push.

You can verify server deployment by viewing any active RA-Workstation record in NetSuite ERP. See Appendix: NSPOS Release Types and Verification.

Bundle Update

The NSPOS bundle contains updates included in this hot push. NetSuite will deploy the applicable bundle changes as part of the release process.

Replication Server Update

No user actions are available for the replication server portion of the update.

NSPOS Application Update

Restaging registers is not required immediately after this hot push is deployed. If you provision or restage a register after the update, the register will use the 2025.1.5 staging package.

Important: The 2025.1.5 staging package includes runtime and database platform updates.

Included Fixes and Updates

The NSPOS 2025.1.5 hot push applies corrections and updates to these areas:

  • Technology platform updates - NSPOS server and register components were updated to the current .NET 10 platform and related libraries.

  • Register staging and runtime updates -The staging package includes MySQL 8.4.9, updated .NET runtime components, and an updated Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.

  • Security updates - Security-related corrections were applied to NSPOS staging, workstation, kiosk, package-access, and operator-token workflows.

  • Synchronization and integration reliability - Updates improve integration account setup, replication processing, Job Scheduler processing, and the handling of selected data synchronization scenarios.

  • Performance and diagnostics - Improvements were made to selected NetSuite scripts, logging, health checks, error reporting, and transaction-processing performance.

  • Register behavior - Corrections were applied to selected NSPOS user-interface and reporting behaviors.

  • NSPOS lifecycle management - Updates were added to support controlled end-of-life handling for NSPOS registers.

  • Version information - NSPOS version information shown throughout the NSPOS ecosystem is updated to 2025.1.5, including the version shown in NetSuite ERP on the RA-Workstation record. Some components may show version 2025.1.5 even when there are no functional code changes in that component.

Fixed Issues

The following customer-reported issues are fixed in this hot push:

  • Staging package generation now better handles certain uncommon data combinations that could cause staging to take too long or fail. (Issue 896546)

  • Improved the performance of the RA-Price Rounding and RA-Payment Instrument Payments scripts when processing customer payments. (Issue 885880)

  • Improved the reliability of the customer synchronization to avoid execution-time-limit errors in accounts with a high transaction volume. (Issue 888992)

  • Strengthened kiosk payment security controls. (Issue 882530)

  • Strengthened access controls for employee QR code token generation. (Issue 882558)

  • Strengthened staging package access controls between locations. (Issue 882557)

  • Removed support for store server configuration. (Issue 882556, 882554)

  • Corrected customer synchronization processing for customer names that contain special characters. (Issue 879253)

  • Improved void transaction synchronization performance during periods of high load. (Issue 886104)

  • NSPOS now ignores keyboard and bar code scanner input while the user interface is busy with a blocking operation. (Issue 876178)

  • Corrected an error that could occur when using Preview Tax on invoices. (Issue 864980)

  • Corrected an issue where a generated report could display behind the Sales Journal window. (Issue 852529)

  • RA-Saved Search now supports returning more than 1,000 rows when required. (Issue 850346)

  • Reduced excessive logging and execution-time-limit errors in the RA-SalesOrder-ChangeLog-Cleanup script. (Issue 839410)
