Enabling Withheld Tax Amounts Splitting Between Installments

Brazil Localization enables you to choose how NetSuite handles tax amounts withheld on transactions:

• Include withheld amounts on the first installment

• Split withheld amounts equally between all installments

Important:

NetSuite ignores this setting if the tax amount withheld in a transaction is the same as or higher than the first installment's amount. In this case, the system splits the tax amount between all installments equally.

To enable withheld tax amount splitting between installments:

1. Go to Setup > Tax > Tax Types.

2. Click Edit next to the tax type record you want.

3. To split withheld tax amounts equally between all installments, check the Split Tax Amounts Between Installments box.

   If you do not check the box, NetSuite includes withheld amounts on the first installment.

4. Click Save.
