NetSuite CPQ Configurator

NetSuite CPQ Configurator lets users configure complex items according to your business logic and add these items to transactions. With NetSuite CPQ Configurator, you can:

If you install NetSuite CPQ Manufacturing, you can create work orders based on materials and routing steps from NetSuite CPQ Configurator. For more information, Creating Work Orders for Configured Items.

After installing NetSuite CPQ Configurator, set up basic and additional options. For more information, see NetSuite CPQ Configurator Setup.

After setting up NetSuite CPQ Configurator, you can create products. A product is the basic working unit of this SuiteApp and represents the configurable item. Several building blocks activated by rules make up each product. For more information, see NetSuite CPQ Configurator Products and Activating Building Blocks with Rules.

When products are ready, users can configure the related complex items from transactions. For more information, see NetSuite CPQ Configurator Workflow.

NetSuite CPQ Configurator Workflow

Users can launch NetSuite CPQ Configurator from eligible transactions. For more information about eligible transactions, see Selecting Eligible Transactions.

The basic workflow to configure items is the following:

  1. Open or create an eligible transaction.

  2. Click the Configure button.

    Alternatively, click the arrow on the Configure button and select a specific product or product category.

  3. Select a product on the Select Product page.

    This page provides an overview of all products representing the configurable items.

  4. Configure the item on the user interface.

  5. Click Submit & Close to add the configured item to the transaction and close the user interface.

  6. Save the transaction.

To modify a configured item, open the transaction for editing and click the Edit Config button on the configured line item.
