Resolving Exceptions
Exception Management (EM) is currently not available to all customers. The Exception Management feature depends on sufficient data volume and model training readiness. If you can't access Exception Management, contact your NetSuite Account Manager for guidance and next steps.
When you click View Details on an exception, EM opens a details drawer showing why the item was flagged, including the detected value, and the expected value based on similar past transactions. If memo text exists on the related transaction line or transaction header, the details drawer shows the memo. On supported transaction pages, clicking View Details in an exception banner opens the details drawer without leaving the transaction.
In the details drawer, you can take the following actions:
-
Click Review Transaction to open the record, review it and its supporting documentation, and correct it if needed.
-
Click I Resolved This after you correct a true error to close the exception.
-
Click No Action Needed if the transaction is correct but was flagged by the system (closes the exception).
-
For missing transactions, click Create Transaction to create a copy of the missing transaction with today's date when the transaction type supports direct creation. For transaction types that cannot be manually created, EM directs you to the appropriate process page.
If you mark an exception as resolved or No Action Needed and later edit the related transaction, EM may update the resolution type to Resolved by User Action. The exception remains resolved unless you reopen it.
Over time, as you resolve or dismiss items, EM improves its understanding of your patterns and surfaces more accurate exceptions for review.
