Author Field in Synced Email
In most cases, the email address in the From field of the email is used as the Author field value. There may be instances when the email address in the From field is not the selected record or is not an associated record of the selected record.
NetSuite Connector for Outlook uses the following logic to determine the author field:

If the selected record was in the From field - This record is used as the Author field.

If the selected record was in the To field - NetSuite Connector for Outlook checks if the email address in the From field is an associated record of the selected record. If the From address is an associated record, it is used as the Author field. If not, then the selected record is used as the Author field, and the From email address is appended to the Author field.

If the selected record was in the CC field - NetSuite Connector for Outlook checks if the email address in the From field is an associated record of the selected record. If the From address is an associated record, it is used as the Author field. If not, then the selected record is used as the Author field and the From email address is appended to the Author field.
