Preferences
To set or update preferences, in the NetSuite UI, click the Connector Platform tab, and go to Settings > Preferences.
This section contains information about the following preferences to set:
Subsidiary Preferences
If you have only one subsidiary in your account (for example, the parent account is the only subsidiary) the Salesforce Connector will automatically use that as the default subsidiary.
Your account must be a NetSuite OneWorld account with at least one subsidiary to use the Salesforce Connector.
However, if you have more than one subsidiary in your account, you need to select a default subsidiary. A user logged in to NetSuite with an Administrator role can perform the following procedure.
Set Your Subsidiary Preference
-
In the NetSuite UI, click the Salesforce Connector tab, and go to Settings > Preferences.
-
On the Preferences page, click Edit.
-
In the Connector field, leave Salesforce as the selection in the dropdown.
-
Choose one of the two following options:
-
Check the Use Default Subsidiary box.
-
Select your preference for a default subsidiary from the list in the dropdown.
-
-
Click Save.
Default Tax Schedule
Select a default tax schedule from the dropdown.
Setting a default tax schedule is required. All items created in NetSuite due to reverse sync from Salesforce would use the default tax schedule for the synchronized items. When there is no default tax schedule, the integration will return errors.
Alert Notifications
You can enable email alerts to send alert notifications to configured email addresses when a data sync fails.
To enable alert notifications, check the Enable Email Alerts box. Use commas to separate multiple email addresses.
Attachment and User Notes
Salesforce lets you attach notes with a maximum size of 20 MB to a Sales Order. However, NetSuite currently supports a maximum attachment size of 10 MB.
When you enable notes and attachments in Salesforce Connector, you also need to enable Notes in your Salesforce account. If Notes is not enabled in both Salesforce Connector and Salesforce, the opportunity flow completes successfully but the notes and attachments are not synced to NetSuite.
Notes attached in Salesforce will be synced to NetSuite Sales Orders with a file extension snote
. You cannot open the file directly, you must download the snote
attachment to view it. The file will open in your browser, or can be opened using a text editor such as Notepad.
To enable the attachment sync, check the Enable Attachment Sync box.
To enable the notes sync, check the Enable Notes Sync box.
