Export and Import Work Instructions

To use the work instructions from Advanced Manufacturing SuiteApp in this SuiteApp, you must perform the following actions.

• Exporting Work Instructions from Advanced Manufacturing SuiteApp

• Importing Work Instructions in Work Instructions and Traveler SuiteApp

Exporting Work Instructions from Advanced Manufacturing SuiteApp

Follow the below procedure to export the work instructions from the Advanced Manufacturing SuiteApp.

To export work instructions from Advanced Manufacturing

1. Go to Advanced Manufacturing > Administration/Setup > Manufacturing Work Bench.

   The AM Mfg Work Bench Operation List page opens.

2. Click Customize View or Edit View.

3. In the Results subtab, add the following required fields in the Field column.

   1. Routing

   2. Routing Fields...- In the Customize AM Mfg Work Bench Operation Search Results popup window, from the Routing Fields list, select Bill of Materials.

   3. Operation Seq

   4. Process Notes

   5. AM Mfg Work Bench Wrk Inst...- In the Customize AM Mfg Work Bench Operation Search Results popup window, from the AM Mfg Work Bench Wrk Inst Field list, select Sequence No.

   6. AM Mfg Work Bench Wrk Inst...- In the Customize AM Mfg Work Bench Operation Search Results popup window, from the AM Mfg Work Bench Wrk Inst Field list, select Text Line.

   7. AM Mfg Work Bench Wrk Inst...- In the Customize AM Mfg Work Bench Operation Search Results popup window, from the AM Mfg Work Bench Wrk Inst Field list, select Document.

4. Click Save.

5. Go to the AM Mfg Work Bench Operation List page.

6. Select a saved custom view from the View list.

   You can now view the list with the columns added in step 3.

7. To export the list, click the Export - CSV icon.

   The CSV file is downloaded.

Importing Work Instructions in Work Instructions and Traveler SuiteApp

You can import the work instructions by mapping the fields in the manufacturing routing record of the Work Instructions and Traveler SuiteApp with the mappings in the CSV file. For more information about importing CSV files, read Importing CSV Files with the Import Assistant.

Note:

You must check the Run Server SuiteScript and Trigger Workflows box on the Import Options page of the Import Assistant. For more information, read Set Advanced CSV Import Options.
