Viewing the System-Calculated Order Billing Lead Time

The system-calculated order billing lead time is defined for each customer and vendor for all fully billed and closed sales orders and purchase orders. It is the average number of days between the sales order or purchase order transaction date and the transaction date of the last related invoice or bill. The system-calculated order billing lead time measures the average time it takes to fully bill sales orders and purchase orders for each customer and vendor for the past 12 months. The system-calculated order billing lead time is displayed in the customer record for sales orders and in the vendor record for purchase orders.

You can also view the Cash 360 Entity custom record for a list of the system-calculated order billing lead time for each customer and vendor for all fully billed and closed sales orders and purchase orders. This custom record is only available if your role has a custom records permission. To view the Cash 360 Entity custom record, go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types.

The SuiteApp calculates the order billing lead time using a Map/Reduce script that runs daily. You can change the frequency of the script run, depending on your preference. For more information, see Rescheduling the Order Billing Lead Time Script Run. The Map/Reduce script processes all customers and vendors that have fully billed and closed sales orders and purchase orders in its initial run. Subsequent runs of the script only process new customer and vendor records that have fully billed and closed sales orders and purchase orders and those customer and vendor records that have changes to transactions.

The order billing lead time is added to the sales order or purchase order transaction date along with payment terms (if any) to calculate forecast dates as shown in the Forecast Details table and in the Cash 360 dashboard.

For customers without closed sales orders and vendors without closed purchase orders, you can manually enter sales order and purchase order billing lead time values on the Cash 360 Preferences page. For more information, see Setting Cash 360 Preferences.

If both values are specified, the system-calculated order billing lead time takes precedence over the manually entered value and is used to calculate forecast dates.
