Displaying Parent-Child Hierarchy of Accounts in Country-Specific Reports

For variables that consist of multiple accounts, you can enable a hierarchical display of the accounts in your report. Instead of a list, the report displays the accounts included in a variable based on the parent-child hierarchy in your Chart of Accounts.

Important:

This display type works only if your report’s HTML/XML template contains the macro for handling a hierarchy view. Make sure your List of Accounts macro includes the hierarchy view macro. For more information, see List of Accounts in Country-Specific Reports.

To display the parent-child hierarchy of accounts in your report:

  1. Enable the hierarchical display feature on the variable record:

    1. Open a report on Reports > Financial > Country-Specific Reports.

    2. Click View Structure.

    3. On the Variables subtab, click Edit next to the variable whose accounts you want to be displayed in a hierarchy.

    4. On the variable record, check the Display Hierarchy box.

    5. Click Save.

  2. Go to Reports > Financial > Country-Specific Reports.

  3. Select the same report in step 1a.

  4. Click Show Report.

  5. Check the Show Individual Accounts box.
