Contract Hours in NetSuite Time Clock

Contract hours can be configured for employees. After they are configured, employees can generate variations to these contact hours by clocking in or clocking out.

If the clock-in or clock-out events differ from the employee's agreed contract hours or variation of the contract hours, they will be prompted to agree to a new variation of the contract hours for that day. The employee may be prompted at the start and end of the shift to agree to the new variation to the contract hours.

The Action Required window displays the modified contract hours for the employee. For example, this employee's modified contract hours are from 2:45 pm to 5:45 pm.

If the employee selects Agree, their shift will begin with the modified contract hours.

If the employee selects Decline, their shift will not begin with the modified contract hours and SuitePeople Time Clock will return to the PIN entry screen.

Before the employee selects Decline, they must enter a reason in the Comments field for declining the modified contract hours. A manager must then enter their PIN and provide a reason for agreeing or declining a employee's choice to decline their modified contract hours.

The employee can then clock in to their shift.
