Attestation

The Attestation feature allows employees to accept or dispute their approved hours with their manager.

To enable the Attestation feature, please contact your account manager.

Navigating to the Attestation feature in the SuitePeople Workforce Management Phone App

  1. Once your manager has approved your worked shifts, you will see a red notification badge on the Shifts icon in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. This is notifying you that there are Shifts that need to be attested to.

  2. Click on the Shifts tab then the Approved Hours label in the upper right-hand side.

    Note:

The red notification badge will have a number associated with it. This is to inform you about the number of shifts that need to be attested by you.

  3. After you have clicked on the Approved Hours label, the approved shifts that need to be accepted or disputed will load. These are the approved shifts by a manager in the weekly schedule view.

    • To view more details about a shift or to compare it against your timesheet and scheduled shifts, touch the chevron arrow icon to expand the details about the shift.

Attesting Approved Shifts

Employees can accept or dispute approved shifts by opening a communication channel with their manager. Attesting approved shifts works the same way in the SuitePeople Workforce Management phone app and SuitePeople Time Clock for iOS and Android tablets.

Accepting an Approved Shift

To accept the approved shift, click Accept. The dollar sign icon on the shift will turn green.

After the employee accepts their approved shift, a green checkmark icon will appear on that shift in the weekly schedule view.

Disputing an Approved Shift

To dispute an approved shift, click Dispute.

After the employee enters a reason for the dispute and clicks Create, the communication channel with the manager will be opened and the reason for the dispute will be displayed.

A dispute will appear as a red approved shift in the weekly schedule view.

The manager can click View Disputes in the right corner of weekly schedule view to view disputed shifts.

Preventing Clock-in Events with Attestation

With this advanced Attestation feature, employees must accept or dispute all approved shifts before they can clock in to their shifts. This ensures all employees are aware of their approved hours so any discrepancies in hours can be managed before the next payroll run.
