Setting Up Item Rev/Exp Category for Reclass. in Items for Revenue and Expense Reclassification

The NetSuite Revenue Expense Reclassification by Region uses the Rev/Exp Category for Reclass. field in the item record to reclassify your transactions. These, along with the reclassification rules in the reclassification rule setup, will be used when reclassifying your accounts. For more information on reclassification rules, see Guidelines for Setting Up Reclassification By Region Rules.

To set Rev/Exp Category for Reclass. in Item Record:

  1. Go to Lists > Accounting > Items.

  2. Select an item.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Select a category from the Rev/Exp Category for Reclass. drop down under the Classification section.

  5. Click Save.

Note:

The Rev/Exp Category for Reclass. setting will not work for discounts.
