Validating Reported Data

When incorrect data is reported, production managers can run the validate data process to review the reported data for accuracy and consistency. You can also use this process to mimic a NetSuite build. System-generated exception errors and warnings enable production managers to respond before running a build.

For example, the operator incorrectly reports 500 pounds. The validate data process generates a warning message for the production manager to review. The production manager can change the order quantity to 50 pounds.

You can validate data until the work is submitted and launch this process many times. You can modify data if the data is not yet processed into NetSuite.

To validate reported data:

  1. Go to Reports > Shop Floor Reports > Work Details.

  2. Beside the work order you want to validate, click View.

  3. In the Mfg Mobile – Work Details page, click Validate Data.

This option is available when the Work ID is In Progress, Failed, or Partially Built.

  4. Review the data in each subtab.

  5. (Optional) If you make corrections to the data and you want to re-validate the data, click Validate Data.

If the data is correct, you can trigger an ad hoc build or allow the production operator to continue to the end. For more information, see Enabling an Ad Hoc Build.
