Configuring Custom Segments for Kit and Assembly Component Value Carryover

You can configure the kit or assembly custom segment column field to copy values from sales order items to fulfillment items.

This topic explains how to configure custom segment columns on kit or assembly components so that segment values entered on sales order lines are automatically copied to item fulfillments. This helps preserve important classification or tracking data as items move through the order fulfillment process. To configure the custom segment column field on items with kit or assembly components:

1. Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Custom Segments.

2. Click the Application and Sourcing subtab. Then click the Transaction Columns subtab.

3. To have kit or assembly segments copy values from sales orders to related item fulfillments, check the Kit/Assembly Components box.
