Creating Custom Smart List Entries for EPM Planning Projects and Project Management Integration

When you enable integration between EPM Planning Projects and Project Management, two Smart Lists are added to the application—CapitalProjectTemplate and IndirectProjectTemplate. Add a Smart List entry for each Project Management template you want to associate with projects in EPM Planning Projects.

Planners associate each EPM Planning Projects project with a Project Management project template using a Smart List on the Project Details form.

  1. From the Home page, click the Navigator icon Navigator icon.

  2. Under Create and Manage, click Smart Lists.
  3. Depending on the type of projects you are working with, select CapitalProjectTemplate or IndirectProjectTemplate and then click Edit Edit icon.
  4. Click the Entries tab.
  5. Click Add Add icon.
  6. Add a name, which will appear as a Smart List entry, and a label. The label should correspond to the Project Management project template name.

    You can get a list of project templates for each project type the BIP report Export Project Templates Report in Project Management.

  7. Add as many entries as you need, and then click Save.
