Use the Optimized Product Management Search

Hi everyone. Today, I will be going over the optimized product management search feature. In this feature, there are new capabilities for product management, such as searching based on a query using a combination of operators, phrase searches, and filter chips.

This feature extends the current functionality to provide more efficient searches. This also helps user configure and run fast searches using the enhanced product management search. I will now be going into the demo for this feature.

In this update, users will be able to configure and run fast and efficient searches using the enhanced product management search. There are many new capabilities in this update, such as searching and finding content within descriptions using a phrase search, and searching based on a query using a combination of operators, phrase searches, and filter chips.

In this feature, the current search capabilities have been expanded, and users can use a set of operators within the search criteria. These operators have different meanings. For example, the plus sign acts as an and operator.

To see all the new operators and their descriptions, please refer to the Help documentation. Users can also use double quotes surrounding a group of search terms to find a match closest to the term they were looking for. You can now search for a fragment of the description.

For example, in the search bar, I'll search up micro. This will bring up the item numbers that have micro in the item descriptions. When you don't know the exact details of the item you're searching for, you can use a combination of operators, phrase searches, and filter chips to form a query.

For example, if I'm looking for a capacitor that is in the microfarads range and will be able to use 15 volts, I can use the item class filter chip to search for only capacitors, then search up cap plus microfarads, plus 15 volt.

In this search, cap is the keyword that enables a keyword search for all the part numbers starting with CAP and capacitor. The plus sign is the AND operator, and microfarads and 15 volt are the phrase searches. Today, I went through the basic functions of using the optimize product management search feature. For more details, you can consult the Help documentation. This is the end of the demo. Thank you for watching.
