Schedule Technician Appointment

Storefront now delivers the ability for a shopper, prospect or an existing customer to schedule technician installation when placing an order for a service that requires installation. Storefront will provide user interface widgets that would enable a shopper to view the next available appointment date and time, pick an available sot and schedule an appointment. You can also change an existing appointment from your My Account page. Storefront will provide server side extension for tenants to integrate the UI widgets with Oracle Field Service or any Thirdparty application to deliver the functionality needed for technician install use cases.

Steps to Enable

A new business configuration is introduced within salesCatalog tenant configuration that will allow tenants to define the products for which service installation is applicable. This configuration will allow the tenant to define the list catalog categories for which service installation option needs to be displayed by the storefront.
