New Profitability and Cost Management Application Settings

The following new Profitability and Cost Management application settings are available:

• Allocation Rules Use Non Empty Tuple: Indicates whether Non Empty Tuple (NET) optimization is enabled. Allocation rules on sparse cubes may perform better by setting this preference to "Yes". 
• Skip Scripts When Data Missing (Beta): Indicates whether Skip Scripts optimization is enabled. Selecting "Yes" allows allocation rules to skip processing steps when data conditions make them unnecessary, thus improving performance.
• Skip Scratch Cell Generation (Beta): Indicates whether scratch cell optimization is enabled. Selecting "Yes" skips unnecessary rule execution steps and improve allocation rule performance.
• Designer Version: Which version of the Rule Designer to open. Designer 1.0 opens the older version of the Rule Designer. Designer 2.0 opens the new Rule Designer UI with enhanced features.

Business Benefit: You no longer need to use substitution variables to adjust these calculation options; instead, you can set them directly on the Application Settings page.
