Considerations for Setting the Daily Maintenance Start Time

The Getting Started Guide has been updated with a new Considerations for Setting the Daily Maintenance Start Time section. This guidance explains how changes to the maintenance start time are applied when made close to the scheduled maintenance window and highlights the impact of Daylight Saving Time (DST) transitions on daily maintenance schedules. It also recommends configuring the maintenance start time in UTC, using a time zone that does not observe DST, or selecting a maintenance time outside the 1:00 AM–3:00 AM local time window to help avoid skipped or duplicate maintenance runs on the days of DST transitions.

Applies to:  Account Reconciliation, Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Planning, Profitability and Cost Management, Tax Reporting

Business Benefit:  Customers can configure daily maintenance start time more effectively by understanding how maintenance start time changes are applied and how Daylight Saving Time (DST) transitions can impact scheduled maintenance. This guidance helps reduce unexpected maintenance behavior and enables more predictable maintenance scheduling.
