Predefined Validations to Prevent Changes After Dimension Export

New predefined validations are available to prevent certain types of changes to nodes after they have been exported to a target application.  These validations enable modifications to be made in Enterprise Data Management before the data has been sent to the downstream system, but immediately restrict those changes once the data has been exported to the primary connection for the application.  The following predefined validations are now included:

  • Prevent Renames and Deletes After Export (All application types except Universal and Users)
  • Prevent Summary Flag Change to Yes after Export (Financials Cloud General Ledger applications only)

Business Benefit: The predefined validations prevent changes to existing enterprise data that can affect referential integrity in a consuming application but permit changes to new data values before they have been distributed to the external application to allow for corrections and revisions.
