Essbase Block AnalysisReport to Show Percentage of Essbase Blocks with Near-Zero Values

The essbaseBlockAnalysisReport EPM Automate command and its corresponding REST API now include the ability to display the percentage of data cells with values close to zero (such as 0.000000001604) within Essbase blocks. High percentages of near-zero values can negatively impact performance and lead to application issues—for example, allocations across many entities for minimal amounts, or handling opening and closing balances in lease or loan payments where interest calculations are involved. To help identify and reduce near-zero values, you can now generate the Essbase Block Analysis Report, which includes the statistic: “Percentage of Cells with Only Near Zero Value: XX.XX%.”
