Auto Text Summary Criteria Manager and Zoom Capabilities
Auto Text Summary Criteria Manager is now available to support the expanded Generative AI (Gen AI) narrative summary capabilities. This manager enables you to define criteria for the AutoTextSummary text function within a dedicated Criteria Definition, instead of specifying parameters directly in the function. You can reference the Criteria Definition name in the AutoTextSummary function, making configurations easier to manage and maintain.
Existing AutoTextSummary text functions are automatically migrated to use the new Criteria Definition model. At this time, only the Causality use case includes additional parameters that can be defined. Criteria Definition are configured per grid, stored within the report definition, and cannot be shared across reports.
To configure Auto Text Summary criteria, select Actions, and then select Auto Text Summary Criteria Manager from the Grid Designer. In the Auto Text Summary Criteria Manager, you can create a new Criteria Definition or edit an existing one. In the Criteria Definition Editor, specify a name for the definition, and then select Criteria Type (Describe Exception, Zoom or Compare).
In the Criteria Definition Editor, you can specify a secondary analytic dimension or an additional member generation/level within the same dimension when performing Zoom operations. You can analyze data from multiple perspectives, such as drilling into different regions or other attributes for deeper insights. Previously, Zoom was limited to a single analytic dimension with one hierarchy, restricting your ability to explore data across multiple dimensions or levels.
Additionally, the analytic dimension is no longer set in Conditional Properties. The specification now resides within the Auto Text Summary Criteria Definition.
Business Benefit: This enhancement enables users to perform more advanced and flexible analyses by allowing Zoom operations across multiple analytic dimensions or levels.
