Cash Receipt Descriptive Flexfields Upload Using Create Receipts ADFdi

Use the Create Receipts Using Spreadsheet ADFdi to upload descriptive flexfield values for cash receipts. The ADFdi upload process reduces the manual effort needed to enter and update descriptive flexfield values after receipt creation.

Organizations often have requirements to store additional information related to cash receipts. Use the descriptive flexfield values to enter additional information for tracking, reporting, accounting, and storing cash receipt details.

The Create Receipts Using Spreadsheet ADFdi template includes the new columns Context Value and Attributes.

Click a Context Value column cell to open the Additional Information window. The window displays the segments of the AR_INTERIM_CASH_RECEIPTS descriptive flexfield. Enter the values you want in each descriptive flexfield segment and click OK.

The Context Value and Attributes columns and Additional Information window help simplify and expedite the process of creating receipts with descriptive flexfield values, when this is a business requirement.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

  • Set up the same descriptive flexfield structure for both AR_CASH_RECIPTS and AR_INTERIM_CASH_RECEIPTS.
  • If you import a receipt with more than one row, only the descriptive flexfields entered in the first row are used.
