  1. Introduction of Industry-standards Catalogs
    DFCS now includes two standard catalogs as reference for improving data understanding capabilities in the product. Apart from providing references for Data Foundation business terms, these catalogs will assist in sourcing data from applications that can publish data using business terms from these catalogs. It will also help in publishing data in a familiar well-known format in banking industry.
  • Banks Integrated Reporting Dictionary (BIRD) -   A standardized data dictionary and reporting framework developed by the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Euro system to support consistent regulatory reporting across financial institutions. 
  • Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) - A catalog for globally recognized banking industry standards that provides a service-oriented business architecture framework for financial institutions. 

  1. Data Companion
    DFCS is  introducing Data Companion to simplify onboarding of a source application for data collection for which metadata is not readily available. Data Companion uses AI to fill the gaps in information available and uses SME knowledge to produce a standard glossary and its mapping to Data Foundation business terms.

  2. Data Services Metadata Reports
    To assist with metadata lineage analysis, DFCS now enables users to generate metadata reports for Data Service objects. It can also be used for integration with 3rd party lineage tools. 
    Users can select Data Service objects and download metadata in a multi-sheet Excel report containing service details, relationships, filters, file mappings, and mappings to catalog. 

  3. Catalog Extension Summary
    To assist DFCS users with a comprehensive view of catalog extension requests across change lifecycle, DFCS is introducing a new user interface. This will be especially useful in assessing readiness for metadata object migration. 
    Users can view extended metadata objects like business terms, dimensions, and facts; monitor the status of related change requests; and access extension details for each metadata object. This feature improves visibility and traceability of catalog extensions.

  4. Bulk Publish for Catalog Extensions
    For simplified experience of catalog extension activity, especially when dealing with a larger number of changes (10+), DFCS now supports bulk publishing of Catalog Extension requests. Users can now group approved actions by entity type, enabling a single publishing for all Business Terms and another one for all entities. 
    Users can select multiple Catalog Extension actions and publish them together from the Actions page. Bulk Publish is not available for Data Accuracy - Rule Extensions, Segments, or Data Entry actions.
